Liturgy of the Word with Children (LWC)
Welcome to Liturgy of the Word with Children! 
LWC is our Sunday morning program for kids in pre-school and elementary school. LWC runs every Sunday morning during the 1st half of both 9am and 11am Masses. Children who participate in LWC at Sacred Heart Parish, experience Prayer and the Gospel reading through age-appropriate reflection, discussion, activities and music.
Children are invited by the pastor, to come forward where they are welcomed and blessed at the beginning of Mass. As the children and the LWC leader(s) process to their meeting room, the congregation sings a blessing song.
At LWC, there is also intercessory prayer where children are encouraged to add their own personal intentions and the Creed is professed.
LWC is approximately a half hour. Children process back into the church at the Offertory and return to their pew with their family for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
