Proclaimers of the Word (POTW) assist the Priest by proclaiming the First
and Seconding readings and Prayers of the Faithful. Any parishioner may
volunteer to be a Proclaimer. Commitment to this ministry involves
attending a minor training session, preparing for reading and arriving 15
minutes before Mass on assigned dates. A comprehensive Lector’s Workbook will also be provided to the volunteer. The ministry schedule is prepared every 3 months by the chair of the Liturgy Committee. If a Proclaimer is scheduled and is unable to fulfil their duty, it is their responsibility to find a replacement from the Proclaimers list that they will be provided with. Proclaimers are scheduled for Sat 5 p.m. & Sunday 9 & 11 a.m. & 5p.m.
Masses and the Church’s Holy days. Proclaimers for the weekday Masses are
scheduled separately.
New members are always welcome.
