Overview

The role of this Ministry is to support the deep Catholic Faith of Hispanic farm workers who come to work in Canada for 8 months to 2 years under the Federal Seasonal Agricultural Workers’ program. With  the help of volunteers and donations from the Sacred Heart Parish Community, the Ministry provides new workers with a “Welcome Kit”, bicycles, and warm clothing.  

A Spanish Mass is  celebrated on the first Saturday of every month at 7:30pm in the Church for the local migrant farm workers as well as others who would like to attend.

Everyone is warmly welcomed to the celebration of  Mass in Spanish the first Saturday of the every month.  Mass begins at 7:30pm in our main Church. Confessions are heard in Spanish beginning at 7:00pm

Migrant Dinners


On the first Saturday of every month our local Migrant Workers celebrate Mass in Spanish in our Church at 7:30pm - Everyone is welcome. 

Following the Mass, dinner is served in our parish hall for the workers.  

We are always in need of volunteers to help with this ministry. 

                                                
If you are able to help out with the meal following the Mass (served by parish volunteers) by donating sweets, cookies, desert bars or fresh fruit such as apples, oranges, or grapes please drop your items off at the Parish Center Kitchen between 3:30 and 4:00pm on the day of.
