Parish Religious Education for Children (PREP)

Elementary school aged children attending public, private or home school are invited to join our weekly catechism classes - Tuesday evenings from 6:15 - 7:30pm in the school, from September to May.
The goal of PREP is to assist parents in the religious education for children attending Public School, private non-Catholic School, and Home-School (Kindergarten – Grade 7). PREP is a 7-year religious education program designed to run parallel to a child’s elementary school education.
An important component of this program is to help prepare children for the Sacraments of 1st Reconciliation, 1st Holy Communion and Confirmation.
1st Reconciliation was celebrated in December. Gr 2 students are now preparing for 1st Communion and Gr 7 are preparing for Confirmation in class, at home, and through retreats. Parents are supported in their role as primary teachers of the Faith through a series of parent meetings.
We have a wonderful team of trained volunteer Catechists and Assistants leading weekly PREP classes.

We offer 4 methods of payment:
- E-transfer to our Parish email: sacredheartparish@shsdelta.org
- A one-time payment via the below pre-authorized debit form (PAD). Please email the completed form to sacredheartparish@shsdelta.org.
- Drop-off cash or cheque in the Parish office outside secure mailbox or church collection basket during Mass.
- Mail a cheque to the Parish office - please be sure to include our PO Box 10 if sending by mail.
